INSOL
India is a Member Association of INSOL International, a
world-wide federation of national association of lawyers and
accountants who speacialise in Insolvency. All Members of
INSOL India are Members of INSOL International. INSOL
International is a valuable medium and source of world wide
professional knowledge, which is being put to use around
world
on various diverse projects to the benefit of the community
of lawyers, businessmen and accountants.
INSOL India is a member association of INSOL International,
a worldwide federation of national associations of accountants
and lawyers who specialise in insolvency. The federation was
formally incorporated in the year 1982 and since grown in stature
and size to become a valuable source of worldwide professional
knowledge, which is being put to use around the globe on number
of diverse projects to benefit the business community. Currently
28 Member Associations world over with over 8000 professionals
are an integral part of it as one big family. INSOL International
with its ancillary associations world over work with in the
following areas:
Judiciary, Regulators, Lenders and Academics.
INSOL's mission is to work in tandem with its associate organisations
world over and take leadership role in international insolvency
and related credit issues; facilitate the exchange of information
and ideas, encourage greater international co-operation and
communication amongst the insolvency profession credit community
and related constituencies.

| INSOL has set Goals for itself, which
it strives to accomplish. They are: |

To work with and involve member
associations world over.

To implement research into international
and comparative insolvency issues.

To participate in Government
advisory groups and to liase with them on
cross-border insolvency issues.

To assist in developing cross-border
insolvency policies, international codes and best practiced
guidelines.

To provide a leadership role
in international educational matters relating to insolvency
topics.

To facilitate the exchange of
knowledge among the member associations through our conferences
and publications.

INSOL works with many international organisations including
the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law, The
World Bank, International Monetary Fund and with ancillary
groups on number of international insolvency related projects.
Another major field of work were INSOL Lenders Group (ILG)
which was formed in the year 1994 is working towards producing
a global protocol for cross-border workouts and develop a code
for distressed debt trading.

both the Quadrennial Congress, held every four
years and regional conferences at preferential rates.

Review) a unique publication containing articles on different
issues relating to insolvency. This publication is available

is published by the INSOL International and consists of
articles given by the members.
