INSOL India is an Association of the Members of the legal fraternity chartered accountants, company secretaries and other persons, bodies and institutions, desirous of the development, diffusion and advancement of law relating to insolvency and related laws and to provide a forum for national and international participation, debate and awareness in the field of law and policy. INSOL India conducts research, holds seminars, conferences, workshops and discussions for development and growth of the law relating to insolvency and related laws in India and undertakes comparative studies of legal developments in other cosuntries in co-operation with persons, bodies and institutions in different parts of the world.

The Association was formed on September, 27, 1997 under the guidance of Mr. Justice D. P. Wadhwa, then sitting Judge, Supreme Court of India with Mr. Justice Manmohan Sarin elected as first President of the Executive Committee of INSOL India.

INSOL India is a society registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860.
